AXIS TREKKING STICK

Every year thousands of people, from enthusiasts to amateurs, suffer from outdoor recreational injuries. The fact that there are people dying of potentially curable injuries due to lack of access to medical care has inspired the development of this project.

Axis is an innovative trekking pole that can be transformed into a crutch, in the event of lower body injuries. Rather than burdening a user with an extra tool, axis brings together a trekking pole and crutch. This design gives the user a chance to reach medical attention and safety while hiking in remote areas.
