Nike Air Pasture: Wool Sheep-Shearing Shoes

In order to get closer to understanding the origins of the natural materials we’re working with, Kyle decided to learn how to shear sheep. In order to do this, a shearer must wear wool-soled shoes to prevent slipping on the floor, which gets covered with lanolin (the natural oils in from a sheep’s skin).

Since it’s not the most abrasion resistant material, these shoes will not have an extended lifetime. This means that we needed to find a way to create a shoe out of a single piece of material, that could be easily assembled in a short amount of time.
